About the author

Hi! These short articles on writing come from me, Mark Fullmer, a writer and writing teacher. I was born in California and have been a quondam resident of Austin, Boston, Brooklyn, New Orleans, New Mexico, Oxford, the Philippines, and now Tucson. I have degrees in music and English.

I’ve taught communication courses nationally and abroad, and self-authored a short story collection, poetry collection, and interactive game novel, which I’ll maybe tell you about sometime.

I also make software, including the open-source grammar checker Grammark and the Gendered Text Project.
